Super Advertising!

Bud Light's "The Journey" (below) was the commercial that caught my attention most. Just everything about it was interesting, and at the end hilarious. The average cost of a 30-second advertisement was around $4 million.

Architecture Notes

My favorite architects were: Shin Takamatsu, for his futuristic, innovative buildings. Antoni Gaudi, for his break from conventional lines and normally boring repetitive symmetry. Tadao Ando, his simple yet professional works somehow manage to keep creativity and seriousness at a buoyant equilibrium.

Cardboard Canoe

Below is a list of Achievements in which our cardboard canoe team had earned. ------------------------------------------------------------- 1.) Criteria & Constraints =Build a watercraft that allows you to traverse the CHS swimming pool. =You may only use Cardboard and Duct Tape for this event. =All Staples or other foreign material must be removed from your cardboard. 2.) Sketch Ideas =(shown) 3.) Prototype Ideas =(shown) 4.) Select an Approach = we used a V bottom in order to cut through the water efficiently. 5.) Surface Area Surface Area: 60 yards x 1.88 inches x 3 rolls 180 ft x 0.15667 ft x 3 rolls 28 ft squared x 3 rolls 84 ft squared 6.) Build It! = Our boat met the requirements, though it is quite unfortunate that no picture evidence is available. 7.) V-bottom = ...check. 8.) Balance Master = under about a foot of water, josh completed this achievement 9.) Feedback = duct tape could have been layered better. = rope should have been more sturdy = v bottom should have been at a lower slope, it was too steep. = side walls may have perfected the boat’s overall performance. 10.) Stick Through It. = through the hardships you must stick through it and prevail against all odds.
